The Diamond Comp/EQ Pedal is an effects pedal that combines smooth, natural optical compression with active tilt and mid EQ. This pedal allows you to control the dynamics of your sound, giving you the option to choose between a light and transparent compression that respects the character of your instrument or a more intense and dynamic compression that adds punch and sustain to your sound. It also lets you sculpt your tone with a mid control that gives you a range of +/- 10dB to boost or cut the mid frequencies of your sound. In addition, it has a tilt frequency switch that gives you three options to adjust the inflection point of the equalization: 250 Hz, 500 Hz or 900 Hz. With this switch you can adjust the balance between the high and low frequencies of your sound, creating a tilt effect that allows you to raise or lower the brightness and depth of your tone at the same time.

The Diamond Comp/EQ Pedal maintains the classic architecture of Diamond's legendary yellow pedal, but with more range and functionality. It's equipped with custom-made American-made optoisolators, which give the compressor a smooth, musical optical sound. These optoisolators vary their electrical resistance according to the amount of light they receive, creating a more natural and organic compression effect than other types of circuits. It also has Burr Brown integrated circuits, which give it high fidelity and audio quality. The jacks are mounted on top of the pedal, allowing you to save space on your pedalboard. The pedal is relay-based true bypass, which means it does not alter the sound when turned off. The pedal is powered by a 9-18 V DC power supply and has a current draw of about 22 mA. The Diamond Comp/EQ pedal is a mastering solution for your effects chain that you may never want to turn off, giving you complete control over your sound and helping you achieve the tone you're after.
