Just stop and take a moment to cast your eye over the ESP E-II M-II FM ACSB Electric Guitar. The name may not be pretty but the guitar itself is an absolute stunner!
Body
The body of the ESP E-II M-II FM ACSB Electric Guitar takes the solid reliability and lighter weight of alder, with its strong, full-bodied sound encompassing beefy mids, excellent lows and slightly sizzled highs, and tops it with an exceptionally striking flamed maple top, visible through the lovely hue of the Amber Cherry Sunburst finish. With the maple top in place, the fuller sound of the alder is balanced out with a bright, precise tone and tightening of the low end.
Neck
Continuing the tasty selection of woods, the ESP E-II M-II FM is equipped with a maple neck, joined via neck-thru-body construction, which has been carved to the comfortable and highly playable Thin U profile. Atop this lies an ebony fingerboard with a 305mm radius and 24 XJ frets, which, along with adding to the gentlemanly aesthetics of the instrument, make it easier to move around the neck.
Hardware
Matching the black hardware and the ebony fingerboard is the ESP E-II M-II FM Electric Guitar’s Original Tremolo System & locking nut, made from high-quality steel and finished in black. The choice of professionals worldwide, the double-locking design of the Floyd Rose Tremolo System locks in at the nut and bridge. Tuning remains immovable, no matter how much you hammer the trem arm. Teamed up with the guitar’s Gotoh tuners, tuning issues are a thing of the past.
Electronics
The ESP E-II M-II FM ACSB just keeps getting better. The guitar is equipped with a face melting pairing of an EMG81 in the bridge position, followed by another in the neck! With powerful ceramic magnets and close aperture coils, EMG 81s are known for their detailed intensity, high-end cut and fluid sustain. Nigh on murderous when used together, things don’t get much subtler when you select the pickups independently, but you’re not looking at this for subtly… are you. Although traditionally used in the bridge position, more and more you’ll find an EMG 81 in the neck, and it makes for a powerful ally when you need to slice through the mix.
Roundup
No part of the ESP E-II M-II FM ACSB fails to excite; from specially selected tones woods, to knockout good looks, that Floyd Rose Original bridge and powerful, EMG 81 humbuckers. There are few people who could be left wanting with this guitar in their hands.
