Description
Guild Surfliner Catalina Blue
The new Guild Surfliner guitar pays homage to the Californian atmosphere where the Guild Guitars factory is currently located. The Guild Surfliner features an asymmetric 'Offset' solid body and follows the vintage aesthetic of Guild guitars from the 60s and 70s. The sleek, asymmetrical lines of the string-through-body made of poplar matches with the satin-finish maple neck for a smooth, instantly familiar feel.
This is one of the few Guild guitars with a 25.5'' scale and a bolt-on neck, a combination that suits its pickups very well, led by the Guild LB-1 ''Little Bucker'' humbucker in the bridge position, and the new DeArmond Aerosonic Single Coils in middle and neck position. These premium pickups give the Surfliner a wide variety of tones, from bell-like highs to fat overdrive sounds. Its different sounds are achieved through the Guild Rocker Pickup Switching system, characterized by an on/off selector for each pickup, allowing a total of 7 pickup combinations. To accentuate its free spirit, it has one of the most iconic Guild headstocks, with the recovered Guild logo from the 80s.
