Sovtek 6L6GC NOS Tubes Matched Quad
Authentic Sovtek 6L6GC NOS valves made in the Soviet Union at the Reflektor factory in Saratov, with materials and specifications of the time. Stringsfield found this little hidden treasure in an obscure warehouse in our city, and astonishly, they even come in their original boxes in perfect condition, with the name in Russian and the symbol of the hammer and sickle. Even the box is a collector's item!
The term 'New Old Stock' refers to valves that are new but come from factories that have long time closed. These factories like Reflektor, Mullard, G.E.C, Telefunken, Siemens, Philips, General Electric, and R.C.A produced some of the best tubes ever made, which is why these have become highly sought after and coveted in the music industry.
Saratov-based Reflektor corporation made some of the best types of Russian military tubes, with most of their production going to the Russian government. Being tubes of military origin, they offer excellent construction and sound quality. Although it is very difficult to determine, we estimate that the date of manufacture is between the late 80's and early 90's.
To provide maximum operability, they have been conveniently double tested and 'matched' using the military TV7 Tube Tester machine, driving the tubes to their maximum full operating voltage, verifying plate current and overall mutual transconductance.
This Sovtek 6L6GC NOS tube is an effective upgrade for any amplifier that uses 6L6 or 5881 tubes. Known for their robustness and reliability, these Sovtek 6L6GC NOS deliver a warm and silky sound, with defined bass that provides huge transparent tones, being especially indicated for guitar amplification as well as Hi-Fi applications.
Very limited availability of 'matched' pairs and quartets.
